One of a kind

As I set out to begin a blog for the first time I decided to register my name as a domain.  To make sure it was available I did a Google search.  Sure enough it was available.  Turns out Toney Salva is not that common of a name.  I have actually never found anyone else with the name Toney Salva.  Go ahead and search... just me.  I'm one of a kind.

Now if my parents had been normal I could have been named 'Tony' Salva, but then I wouldn't be alone.  I would have to share my name with Tony Salva from Brazil.  He has a YouTube account under that name  But, be advised if you don’t speak Portuguese you will probably not understand anything in his vids.

There is also a Tony Salva in Garden City, Michigan.  He is a plumber.  Although, according to reunion.com no one can locate this 44 year old guy to come to his reunion.  He’s apparently MIA.

Probably the most famous  Tony Salva is the saxophone player for the band Otis Funkmeyer (Ironically I was a fairly descent sax player in my day). But alas… that’s not me either.

Apparently Tony’ Salvas in the world are a dime a dozen.

I suppose my parents could have given me a different first name all together.  They could have named me Victor Salva . Then I would be often confused with the film maker of the same name.  Thankfully they didn’t because he is apparently a pervert.

Had my parents named me Antonio Salva (and my father says that he almost did) I could be confused with the famous Master Chef in Venice, Italy from the 1800’s That may not be that bad… I do like to cook!

No… my parents gave me the peculiar first name Toney to go along with the Italian/Portuguese/Spanish/Cuban surname Salva… and I think I'll stick with just being me. It may not be as interesting, but it's all I know.  I will be blogging weekly... usually on Mondays.  I hope you enjoy my blog as uninteresting as it may be.
